Getting comfortable in front of the camera.

Welcome to the new world where you are your own media company. If you have a business, side hustle, blog, or anything that you are selling you need to put yourself in front of the camera. You need to go live, you need to take photos of yourself, you need to tell your story. Like it or not people are buying you, your why, your story, and then your product or service.

From years photographing people and now coaching people I can tell you the one thing most of us all have in common is being uncomfortable in front of the camera. So what can we do to let go of the fear and become comfortable being our authentic selves in front of the camera?

  1. Practice talking to yourself in front of the mirror. Pick up your phone and do practice videos.

  2. Breathe remember your breath.

  3. You don't have to be perfect.

  4. Know what you are going to talk about. Create an outline with talking points.

  5. Talk about what you know and what you love

  6. Keep doing it. The more you do it the easier it will become.

  7. Act as if you are talking to your best friend.

  8. Have fun
